Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Maintenance Manager to lead daily operations on a large scale tree farm. In this pivotal role, you will maintain the grounds of the farm by mowing and keeping up with the spraying, maintain equipment and notifying when services are due, checking overall health of trees in production. Your leadership will drive the success of the farm by coordinating tasks with other employees, managing trees and overall farm health and mostly appearance of the grounds on the farm. Duties Mow farm grounds every week and keep up with overall appearance of farm. By spraying weeds to insure a clean environment. Manage farm machinery and equipment maintenance, keep accurate hours reports on all equipment so that it stays up to date on servicing. Not required to physically preform maintenance on equipment. Check irrigation systems to ensure all is working efficiently and report if something seems off. Lead a team of farm workers by tackling large scale tasks on the farm. Maintain detailed records of farm activities, maintenance schedules. Qualifications Proven supervising experience in an agricultural or farm setting with strong leadership skills. Extensive experience in nursery/ tree industry. Ability learn new tree types and identify them when asked. Knowledge of irrigation systems, horticulture practices, and growing techniques. Familiarity with basic math for measurements, calculations related to planting schedules or loading orders. Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions some office work on rain days. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping and maintenance planning.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
