Full Job Description Job Title:
Automotive Service Manager / Shop Operations Manager Highlands Auto Center is looking for a full-time Automotive Service Manager / Shop Operations Manager to help run the daily operations of our busy auto repair shop in Dallas. This is not just a front desk position. We need someone who is organized, reliable, comfortable speaking with customers, confident on the phone, and able to communicate with technicians and ownership throughout the day.
Responsibilities include:
Answering phones and speaking with customers professionally Greeting customers and gathering vehicle/repair information Entering customer and vehicle information into our shop system Creating and updating repair orders Communicating with technicians about job status, diagnostics, parts, and repairs Relaying updates to customers and helping sell approved repair work Tracking jobs waiting on parts, approval, diagnostics, or completion Creating daily notes and reminders for the next day Updating the owner daily on shop activity, customer concerns, pending jobs, and technician updates Helping keep the shop organized and running efficiently Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Operations Management, or a related business field At least 3-4 years of management experience Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Comfortable managing employees, assigning tasks, and following up on work progress Strong customer service and phone communication skills Sales experience or confidence explaining services and helping close jobs Comfortable using computers, entering information, and learning shop management software Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, professional, and detail-oriented Able to communicate clearly with customers, technicians, and ownership Previous automotive repair shop, service advisor, or operations management experience preferred Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-7:00
PM Compensation:
$60,000-$70,000 per year depending on experience, with quareterly performance bonuses available. Please apply with your resume and a brief summary of your automotive, customer service, sales, or management experience.
