This is accomplished by planning and organizing jobs; overseeing maintenance and repairs; coordinating projects between departments; and maintaining records of work performed. Other duties include training and enforcing safety regulations. Works as lead for a unit or group by assigning work unit tasks; scheduling equipment and services; overseeing the maintenance and repair of equipment; inspecting tasks completed by workers and contractors; assisting with bids and contracts; interviewing and evaluating staff performance; ensuring all safety practices are followed; and resolving unexpected problems; Develops and updates maintenance procedures by evaluating processes; coordinating events; developing and ensuring quality controls; scheduling and attending training; and performing safety inspections; Schedules and assigns activities by reviewing and scheduling priorities; reviewing, recording, and filing work orders; and referring jobs for contract work; Maintains records by entering work information; recording maintenance activities; and tracking job costs; and Performs other assigned duties. Associate's degree; High School diploma or equivalent Four (4) years of related work experience on a crew in construction or maintenance of streets, roadways, water systems, parks, or landscapes; Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience; Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) ability to obtain within one (1) year of employment; Commercial Applicator's License ability to obtain within one (1) year of employment; and Valid Driver's License.
