Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as a Service Manager, where your leadership and technical expertise will drive exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily service operations, manage a talented team of technicians and service advisors, and ensure that every vehicle leaving the shop meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the service department team, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Oversee all aspects of vehicle repairs and maintenance, ensuring timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs. Maintain high standards of automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. Drive dealership sales through upselling additional services like auto estimating, service writing, and vehicle accessories while ensuring customer needs are met with transparency. Manage customer relationships by providing exceptional service experiences, addressing concerns promptly, and promoting repeat business. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service activities and sales. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and dealership policies to uphold a safe working environment for all staff. Qualifications Proven experience in dealership auto service management or a similar leadership role within an automotive repair facility. Strong background in automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair, and vehicle maintenance procedures across various systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, tires, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and alignments. Hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic is highly desirable to understand technical challenges firsthand. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Demonstrated ability in auto estimating and service writing to accurately assess repair needs and generate detailed quotes. Knowledge of auto body repair processes and familiarity with upselling techniques to increase revenue streams. Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining meticulous records. Dealership experience is preferred; however, candidates with strong automotive repair backgrounds seeking leadership roles are encouraged to apply.
