Maintenance DirectorLocation:
River Hills Health and Rehab River Hills Health and Rehab is seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance, safety, and appearance of our facility. The Maintenance Director plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and compliant environment for residents, staff, and visitors while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department Ensure the facility, grounds, equipment, and building systems are maintained in a safe and efficient manner Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs Perform routine inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and facility systems Coordinate and complete maintenance repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting Maintain compliance with Life Safety Code requirements, OSHA standards, and state and federal regulations Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations Coordinate services and repairs with outside vendors and contractors Maintain records of inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety drills Participate in emergency preparedness planning, fire drills, and disaster response activities Manage department inventory, supplies, and budget Ensure the facility presents a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous maintenance experience required; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance Familiarity with Life Safety Code requirements, emergency preparedness, and OSHA regulations preferred Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required Must be available for on-call responsibilities and emergency situations outside of regular business hours Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment as necessary Must be able to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements
