Minimum Salary:
$90,000+ per year, based on experience and skillset. We are looking for a strong leader with solid experience in heavy-duty truck repair operations. Knowledge of heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair is required, and a CDL would be ideal. As the Service Manager, you will be an integral part of our team, helping shape the direction and culture as we enter an exciting phase of growth. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, enthusiastic, and ready to collaborate in a positive, dynamic environment. You'll be a key player in helping us improve processes, enhance customer experiences, and support the evolving goals of the business. Inland Truck Parts Company, established in 1944, is an employee-owned business with 37 locations in 12 states. Job Summary The primary function of the service manager is to manage and supervise all aspects of service operation, under the guidance of the store manager. What We're Looking For Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build trust with customers and employees. Experience leading teams in a service, maintenance, or dealership environment. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operation. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence. Experience in heavy-duty truck, automotive, diesel, or equipment service operations is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
❑ Ensure excellent internal and external customer service and communication ❑ Demonstrate ability to effectively work with a team ❑ Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, monitoring, & evaluating staff ❑ Supervise all service personnel & operations ❑ Ensure & / or demonstrate application of mechanical & computer application expertise ❑ Organize work for efficient & quality operation ❑ Assign tasks, schedule work hours ❑ Monitor inventory levels ❑ Promote/ assist with parts sales ❑ Maintain knowledge of all service processes & equipment ❑ Direct or participate with giving repair estimates ❑ Oversee and/or perform repair work & necessary scheduled maintenance ❑ Ensure neat, clean, attractive appearance & safety of service area ❑ Troubleshoot problems ❑ Provide feedback/ operating reports for store manager ❑ Maintain adherence of policies / procedures ❑ Prompt attendance & neat appearance ❑ Other duties as deemed necessary by the store manager
Requirements:
❑ Valid class A CDL (strongly preferred, not required) ❑ High level of computer literacy ❑ Extensive knowledge of heavy duty truck parts and repairs ❑ Microsoft Office knowledge/experience ❑ Excellent organizational, scheduling, & communication skills ❑ Excellent leadership & supervisory abilities (ability to lead & supervise several technicians) ❑ Excellent customer/ shop service commitment ❑ Ability to conduct thorough truck inspections & repair functions
