Position Objective:
Ensure the proper operation, safety, and preservation of the warehouse facilities, cold storage rooms, equipment, and machinery, supporting continuous operations while maintaining food safety and workplace safety standards required for fresh produce handling. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facilities, equipment, and machinery. Maintain cold storage rooms, refrigeration systems, and temperature control equipment. Repair and support conveyors, work tables, sealers, and repack equipment. Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and hydraulic issues. Inspect floors, racks, doors, curtains, docks, and common areas. Ensure proper operation of forklifts and material handling equipment (in coordination with external service providers). Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and spare parts records. Comply with workplace safety and food safety regulations (OSHA, FDA, Primus, etc.). Support internal and external audits and inspections. Respond to emergency maintenance issues to prevent product loss or operational downtime.
Daily Activities:
Monitor and verify temperatures in cold storage rooms and processing areas. Conduct visual inspections of equipment and critical areas. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment failures. Execute preventive maintenance routines. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and work areas.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems (preferred). Basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing skills. Safe handling of tools and maintenance equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
