Duration:
Long-Term Contract Position Summary We are seeking experienced Mechanical Maintenance Planners to support a major industrial project in West Orange, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical maintenance background with experience planning maintenance activities for critical rotating equipment in petrochemical, refinery, chemical manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments. This role is responsible for developing detailed maintenance work packages, conducting field walkdowns, planning labor and materials, supporting turnaround activities, and ensuring safe and efficient execution of maintenance work. Key Responsibilities Review maintenance work orders and verify technical completeness. Develop detailed job plans and maintenance work packages. Identify labor requirements, materials, tools, equipment, and contractor services needed for job execution. Conduct field walkdowns to validate scope, equipment condition, access requirements, and safety considerations. Plan maintenance activities for critical rotating equipment and mechanical systems. Develop and maintain maintenance procedures, checklists, and task plans. Coordinate with operations, maintenance, reliability, engineering, and contractor teams. Support turnaround, outage, shutdown, and project planning activities. Ensure compliance with site safety requirements, hazard assessments, permit systems, and LOTO procedures. Utilize CMMS systems to manage work orders, planning activities, and maintenance documentation. Required Qualifications Associate Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent maintenance experience. 3+ years of maintenance planning, maintenance supervision, reliability, or mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment. Strong mechanical maintenance background. Experience creating job packages, work plans, procedures, and maintenance documentation. Experience conducting field walkdowns and scope verification. Knowledge of industrial safety practices, permits, hazard assessments, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). Experience using SAP PM, Maximo, GEMTS, Infor EAM, or other CMMS systems is preferred. Preferred Industry Experience Petrochemical Ethylene / Ethane Cracker Facilities Refining Chemical Manufacturing LNG / Cryogenic Processing Heavy Industrial Manufacturing Preferred Equipment Experience Candidates should have experience planning maintenance activities involving: Centrifugal Pumps Positive Displacement Pumps Centrifugal Compressors Reciprocating Compressors Steam Turbines Gas Turbines Gearboxes Blowers and Fans Mechanical Seals Bearings and Couplings Heat Exchangers Pressure Vessels Distillation Towers Process Columns Piping Systems Cryogenic Equipment Preferred Skills Maintenance Planning Rotating Equipment Turnaround Planning Shutdown Planning Reliability Maintenance Work Package Development SAP PM Maximo CMMS Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Field Walkdowns Additional Information Multiple openings available. 100% onsite in West Orange, TX.
