This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, driving preventative maintenance initiatives, managing maintenance personnel, and identifying opportunities to improve plant performance. This position is ideal for a proactive leader who can assess current maintenance practices, anticipate operational challenges, and develop practical solutions that improve uptime, efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness. The plant is currently undergoing a strategic manufacturing transition, creating an exciting opportunity for someone with experience supporting equipment modifications, process improvements, and facility change initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Own and continuously improve the plant's preventative maintenance (PM) program. Manage all maintenance and repair activities to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency. Build strong working relationships with production and operations teams to proactively identify and address maintenance needs. Utilize the CMMS system (eMaint) to manage work orders, preventative maintenance schedules, asset history, and reporting. Oversee maintenance inventory, spare parts management, and maintenance purchasing activities. Manage and track the maintenance budget while ensuring cost-effective operations. Evaluate current maintenance processes and identify opportunities for improvement and increased reliability. Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for recurring equipment issues. Support plant initiatives involving equipment upgrades, machinery modifications, workflow improvements, and manufacturing line transitions. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company standards. QualificationsRequired 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing environment. Previous experience supervising maintenance teams with multiple direct reports. Demonstrated ownership of preventative maintenance programs and maintenance initiatives. Experience utilizing CMMS software such as eMaint, Maximo, SAP PM, Fiix, MP2, or similar systems. Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience managing maintenance budgets and spare parts inventory. Ability to effectively collaborate with operations, production, and plant leadership teams. Preferred Experience supporting manufacturing transitions, equipment retooling, facility expansions, or product line changes. Background in packaging, paper products, plastics, converting, consumer products, or similar manufacturing environments. Experience with reliability-centered maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives. Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
