We are seeking an experienced Lead Building Engineer to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of critical building systems within a commercial property environment. What You'll Be Doing Lead & Support Operations Supervise and work alongside one additional team member Foster a professional, team-oriented work environment Help ensure the building operates safely and efficiently every day Maintain Critical Building Systems Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on: HVAC systems Chillers & boilers Hot and chilled water systems Pumps, fans, and related mechanical equipment Fire suppression systems General building systems and infrastructure Coordinate Vendors & Projects Develop scopes of work Obtain contractor bids Oversee third-party vendors to ensure quality workmanship Documentation & Communication Track maintenance activities and tenant requests through the work order system Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with tenants and management Safety & Compliance Conduct routine building inspections Ensure OSHA and building code compliance Promote a strong culture of workplace safety What We're Looking ForRequired Experience & Skills 5+ years of commercial HVAC service or building maintenance experience Strong knowledge of: Chillers Boilers Pumps & fans Hot/chilled water systems Preventive maintenance programs Fire suppression systems Professional Strengths Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and proactively Excellent customer service and communication skills Comfortable prioritizing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and working in mechanical spaces Availability for on-call rotation and occasional weekend work Must be able to pass a background check Why Join Us?
