Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading the electrical, instrumental and general site maintenance activities of a chemical manufacturing facility. Responsible for the programming and automation of theplant SCADA system and for coordinating preventive and predictive maintenance programs while organizing corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability. Plan and organizecorrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance programs to enhance reliability and cost efficiency of the plants overall operations ensuring adherence to budget and standards. Responsible for coordinating daily activities of maintenance and contractor staff, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation technicians. Maintain spare parts inventory of supplies for maintenance equipment, electrical and instrumentation equipment. Coordinate team(s) to support installation and commissioning following headquarters Engineering team plans, instructions, design and costs approved. Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, Engineering, and EHS teams to improve equipment uptime and reliability to ensure machinery and equipment are maintained in optimal working conditions. Prepare maintenance reports and KPIs to senior management and organization. Responsible for tracking and documenting maintenance work through Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This position will supervise 2 individuals. This includes one (1) Electrical Technician with a minimum of a High School Degree and one (1) Mechanical Technician with a minimum of a High School Diploma.
Requirements/Special Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering and 24 months of experience in Automation Engineer. 24 months of employment experience must include knowledge of chemical industrial maintenance to ensure safe operation of equipment, machinery, and systems. Demonstrable ability in supervisory principles involved in strategic planning, leadership techniques, production method, and coordination of people and resources.
