Job Description
Position Summary Legacy House of Ogden is seeking a qualified and dependable Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance, safety, and overall operation of our senior living community. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the physical plant, equipment, and grounds are well-maintained, safe, and operating efficiently while supporting a high standard of resident satisfaction. The starting salary for this position is $55,000 per year , along with a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits Medical, Vision & Dental Insurance 401(k) and Health Savings Account (HSA) options Paid Time Off and Vacation Annual Employee Lagoon Day Discounts at select Western States Lodging & Management hotels Key Responsibilities Oversee the maintenance, protection, and overall appearance of the building, equipment, and grounds Develop and manage preventive, corrective, and repair maintenance programs Ensure timely completion of daily work orders to support resident satisfaction Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors Supervise maintenance staff and, as needed, housekeeping and laundry teams Maintain landscaping and ensure prompt snow removal and safe walkways/parking areas Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget, controlling costs while maximizing resources Promote positive resident relations through professional and courteous service Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and loss prevention policies Support and oversee general housekeeping standards in resident and common areas as needed Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director and corporate leadership Qualifications Proven experience in building maintenance, facility management, or a related field Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to interact professionally with residents, families, staff, and visitors Working knowledge of budgeting and cost control practices Commitment to providing high-quality service in a senior living environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, pushing, and pulling for extended periods Comfortable working with maintenance tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals About the Role This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents.
