Job DescriptionPrimary Purpose:
To organize and delegates work assignments to ensure the poles systems are operational and functioning properly. Supervises maintenance workers and has strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Applicants interested are expected to know the principles, values and behaviors of the McWane Compass. 
Basic Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor maintenance techs.

Addresses errors, problems, solves root causes daily.

Organizes, designs, delegates, and completes work assignments for maintenance techs.

Coordinate with Engineering to implement new systems as well as troubleshooting current systems.

Researching, and ordering parts for various machines needed.

Estimating costs of labor and parts for industrial equipment.

Build outage maintenance schedules with work orders and staffing.

Plan work for outside contractors, field investigations, file searches to define scope of work and organize jobs in a timely manner.

Plan and arrange activities related to equipment maintenance to enhance equipment and plant accessibility.

Understands and upholds plant safety requirements and enforces them as needed.

Work Environment:
Heavy Industrial Setting will be involved in working around molten metal.
Physical Demands:
Standing for long periods of time, work that may involve lifting to 50 lbs.

Position type and expected outs of work: Full time hours typical work schedule is 7:00 AM
  • 4:00 PM additional hours as needed and schedule subject to change.

QualificationsQualifications:
At least 5 years supervisory experience to include training, performance reviews, disciplining employees, blueprint reading, preferable trade schoolWillingness to take management classes.

Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and positive work relationships.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (or willingness to learn).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Familiar with MDU EHS policiesProficient with UltiProExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail.
