  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Director of Maintenance and Grounds to lead our facilities management team.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance, safety, and aesthetic upkeep of our entire property, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and a welcoming environment. Your leadership will drive proactive maintenance strategies, manage complex industrial systems, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with extensive experience in facilities management, mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, and team supervision to make a significant impact across our organization. This position will also oversee the housekeeping department. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for all facilities, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and grounds maintenance. Lead and supervise maintenance teams, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency across all operations. Oversee the management of control systems to ensure seamless industrial operations. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to schedule work orders, track asset performance, and optimize maintenance workflows. Manage projects related to facility upgrades, repairs, or new installations with effective project management practices. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to high voltage and low voltage electrical systems; conduct regular safety audits. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized services such as HVAC repairs or landscape enhancements. Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for accountability and continuous improvement. Lead initiatives to improve energy efficiency, sustainability practices, and overall facility aesthetics. Foster a culture of leadership within your team by mentoring supervisors and technicians in mechanical knowledge and industrial maintenance best practices. Experience Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance environments with supervisory responsibilities. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical experience (including high voltage and low voltage), schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters. Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with manufacturing environments or large-scale industrial settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, supervise technicians, and foster a safety-conscious work environment. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate across departments and document technical information clearly.
