This is a new leadership seat overseeing a close-knit field team, with the mission of coaching technicians, protecting margin, and building the systems that let the company scale. You do not need to be a licensed plumber, but you do need to be a strong leader who earns the respect of experienced techs and knows how to run a high-performing residential service operation. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of residential service technicians through regular one-on-ones and ride-alongs Own daily performance: review the numbers each morning and coach techs toward their KPIs such as closing ratio, callback rate, club conversion, and gross margin Manage the service board and dispatch flow to keep trucks productive and customers covered Drive revenue through the in-home service model: educating homeowners, building good-better-best options, and offering financing Protect gross margin and net profit, not just top-line revenue Recruit, hire, and retain technicians as the team grows Build the processes, KPIs, and accountability that support faster, sustainable scaling Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Proven people-management experience leading a field, service, or sales team High emotional intelligence and strong communication, with the ability to earn the respect of skilled tradespeople Track record of coaching a team to hit performance and revenue targets Comfortable managing to financial metrics like gross margin and net profit Plumbing or home-services background is helpful but not required; willingness to learn the trade is a must Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen About Hire Right Recruiting At Hire Right LLC , we partner with skilled trades and service businesses to build teams that last.
