Job Description

Innisfree is a nonprofit voluntary community with 40 adults with intellectual disabilities and 30 volunteers and staff living in 15 houses and working in several community buildings, located north of Crozet on a 550 acre farm. The Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for the interior and exterior appearance, upkeep, and overall functionality of all community buildings and houses. In a proactive manner, this position ensures that Innisfree Village's standards for integrity, quality, safety, and functionality are maintained through the oversight, coordination, and completion of work orders, turnovers, repairs, and projects. Responsibilities Examples of Work Manage the maintenance and upkeep of Innisfree Village in a timely manner while adhering to all applicable government regulations, as well as Innisfree's policies, procedures, and safety standards. Maintain a safe and organized work environment and immediately address any safety concerns involving residents, volunteers, staff, or visitors. Supervise a team of 2-3 staff, assign tasks, and prioritize and schedule the weekly maintenance workload. Schedule and oversee all service contracts and ensure required annual and semiannual inspections are completed for fire extinguishers, furnaces, air conditioning systems, and generators. Replace water filters, air filters, faucets, toilets, light fixtures, hot water heaters, and household appliances as needed based on inspections and work orders Troubleshoot HVAC systems and generator issues, coordinating repairs and service as needed. Maintain the swimming pool and surrounding pool area during swim season, including water chemistry and overall cleanliness. Assist with the annual budgeting process by gathering contractor quotes and helping determine priority projects and purchases.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
