Creative problem solver Proactive self-starter Life-long learner Strong team player Passionate about excellent customer service Positive, can-do attitude Effective communicator Desire to impart knowledge to others "Early adopter" of new technologies What You'll Be Doing This position performs leadership, supervisory and administrative responsibilities related to the maintenance and repair of assets located in the public rights-of-way, vegetation management in the rights-of-way and other publicly maintained land, support Town-sponsored special events, and responding to natural and manmade emergencies. Work includes planning, directing and supervising the operations of the Streets Division within the Department of Public Works and Capital Projects, preparing and managing the division budget, preparing materials specifications and contracted services. The position is also responsible for maintaining accurate asset and service records and inventory through a computerized maintenance management system, as well as overseeing special event support, emergency response operations, ice and snow removal, leaf collection and street sweeping routes.
