Service Manager Lovettsville, VA 20180 Full-time Full-time restaurant foraged. at patowmack farm is seeking a service manager to help lead the dining room team as we continue building our next chapter on the farm. foraged. is a hyper-seasonal restaurant focused on what is growing, preserved, foraged, and sourced locally in real time. Our tasting menu changes constantly, and our service should reflect the same level of intention as the food — warm, detailed, professional, and deeply connected to the guest experience. The service manager will work closely with ownership, the chef, and the front-of-house team to create a thoughtful, polished, and welcoming dining experience for every guest. responsibilities Lead nightly service and help manage the flow of the dining room Support, train, and coach servers, server assistants, food runners, hosts, and bar staff Maintain a high standard of hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail Help guide pre-shift meetings, service notes, menu changes, and guest details Ensure the team has strong knowledge of the menu, ingredients, farms, foraged items, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic pairings Communicate clearly with the kitchen throughout service Manage guest issues with care, urgency, and professionalism Assist with reservations, large parties, private events, and special requests Help maintain dining room cleanliness, organization, and readiness before, during, and after service Support beverage service and work closely with the bar/wine team Help build systems and standards as the restaurant continues to grow ideal candidate Has previous restaurant management or lead server experience Michelin or fine dining experience is preferred Is calm, organized, and confident during busy service Understands elevated hospitality without being stiff or overly formal Communicates clearly and leads by example Has strong attention to detail Enjoys teaching, training, and supporting a team Has an interest in seasonal food, local farms, wine, cocktails, and thoughtful hospitality Can take ownership of the guest experience from start to finish Is comfortable working in a growing restaurant where systems are still being built and refined schedule This is a full-time position.
