Job Description
About the Job DSJ Global is working with a leading packaging manufacturer who is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Richmond, VA to lead maintenance operations within a state-of-the-art corrugated facility. This role will provide hands-on leadership to the maintenance team while driving a best-in-class operation focused on safety, reliability, and performance. Machine uptime is critical to success, as the facility operates without redundancy. This individual will play a key role in minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment runs at peak efficiency to support high-quality production. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the maintenance team, setting clear expectations around safety, performance, and accountability Develop and execute short- and long-term maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency Implement and maintain a best-in-class preventive and predictive maintenance program Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, cost reduction, and process optimization Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and budgeting What We're Looking For Strong experience within corrugated manufacturing 10+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with leadership responsibility Proven ability to lead teams in a 24/7 operation with high uptime demands Strong background in equipment reliability, root cause analysis, and preventative maintenance Experience managing budgets and driving operational efficiencies Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred Why This Role Opportunity to lead maintenance for a high-performing, fast-paced corrugated operation Ability to make a direct impact on uptime and plant performance Competitive compensation, relocation support, and strong benefits package Relocation assistance available
