Lead Maintenance Technician

Responsible for hiring contractors and overseeing their work to ensure quality. Acts as a back-up for the Maintenance Technician Supervisor. Assists the Supervisor with training new staff and provides day-to-day guidance and mentoring for the Maintenance Technicians. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to independently address challenging situations. Troubleshoots issues throughout the day and operates within approved Department guidelines and protocols. Responsible for a full range of building maintenance duties including painting, heating and ventilation, troubleshooting and repair, responding to work orders, plumbing and electrical work, snow shoveling, landscaping and custodial. Daily assignments will vary due to the site's availability of other maintenance staff. The Lead Tech will also be a primary backup for on call for maintenance emergencies. Qualifications A high school diploma is preferred and at least 5 years' experience in building maintenance. Must possess a valid driver's license, and a reliable transportation. Ability to perform physical activities associated with maintenance work is required. Prior training and/or supervisory experience preferred. Computer skills in MS Word and Excel are required.

Main Office, South Burlington, 40 hours/week

Pay Range:

$27.81/hour - $31.25/hour
