Maintenance Foreman Sudden Valley Community Association - 3.3 Bellingham, WA Job Details Full-time $37.13 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Qualifications Staff supervision Team supervision Flagging for traffic control Driver's License General management Full Job Description The Maintenance Foreman performs multi-discipline operational and maintenance work on assigned buildings, facilities, roads, stormwater, and other Association assets. This role is distinguished from the maintenance worker position by the recognized level of responsibility and expertise required. The Foreman is trusted to perform particularly difficult or crucial assignments independently and to provide technical expertise as they lead other employees in completion of specialized, complex, or difficult work. Employees in this position are expected to be particularly skilled at visualizing the desired end product, problem solving, and using equipment and resources to maximum advantage to lead crews in performing a broad variety of tasks. The Foreman usually works as a crew leader but may have an individual or specialized assignment. Attention to safety and protection of personnel and equipment is integral to work. KnowledgeSkills Thorough working knowledge of maintenance equipment and ability to provide equipment operation, routine maintenance, and training Understanding and execution of building maintenance standards Understanding of design and construction principles related to road, drainage, building, and infrastructure maintenance Competent writing, reading comprehension, and math Competent computer skills to learn and utilize computer software and technology as required Supervisory skills including leadership, interpersonal sensitivity, adaptability/flexibility, problem solving, and time management Ability to work effectively in a teamwork environment with diverse groups of people including the general public and other employees Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Willingness to work outdoors, year-round, in all types of weather Ability to work outside of normal business hours for special events and in emergency situations. Able to maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
Qualifications:
An Associates or Technical Degree or any combination of education, training, and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills, and Four years of experience in a supervisory or lead position Four years of experience in multi-discipline facilities maintenance or one of the building trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry) Four years of experience performing manual and semi-skilled labor in the construction, road maintenance, or stormwater field preferred
Additional Requirements:
Employment contingent upon passing criminal convictions check and child and adult abuse records Valid Washington State driver's license and good driving Must be able to lift 50 Ability to obtain and maintain Flagging/Traffic Control Card within one year of employment. Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR Card within one year of Must be able to report to SVCA for emergency call-out and serve on standby in accordance with bargaining unit
