Facilities Planner 2 Western State Hospital (WSH) is currently seeking a Facilities Planner 2 to join our team of hard working professionals located in Lakewood, Washington. As a Facilities Planner, you have the overall responsibility/oversight for the development and implementation of the coordination for hospital facility expansion/renovation, and compliance with facility/physical plant accreditation standards/regulations. Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary. The job will be performed on site at Western State Hospital in Lakewood Washington. Some of what you'll do: Provides facility planning and program development assistance relating to existing State facilities and projects and studies development potentials for maximum utilization Performs comprehensive research to determine the most appropriate use of existing structures and facilities; forecasts future needs and requirements Under supervision, makes recommendations on space allocations to various State agencies and departments Prepares a variety of technical reports, graphic illustrations, and informational materials, makes presentations as directed at various meetings with other departments and State agencies Maintains close liaison with contractual arrangements, architectural and engineering aspects, construction progress and relates factors relative to facilities planning Works collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure the necessary steps are taken to resolve issues related to scope, budget, schedule, and risk management Who should apply? Professionals with a Bachelor's degree involving a major study in business or public administration, engineering, architecture, planning, or a closely allied field. AND A minimum of three years experience in governmental facilities planning work or in related fields in private industry which would afford familiarity with large-scale facilities development and utilization as found at the State level. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted, year for year for education OR equivalent education/experience.
