Facilities Maintenance Engineer Job Description Join a dynamic team at a leading manufacturer of Frozen Baked Goods for Grocery Stores across the US. We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Engineer for full-time employment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment alongside our Facilities Team. The role involves performing essential repairs and maintenance tasks on various bakery production equipment, freezers, and facilities in a timely and cost-effective manner. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing, and repair of all equipment within the bakery, including production areas and facility grounds. Maintain equipment productivity to minimize downtime or malfunctions, often within strict timeframes to enhance productivity. Ensure that all work areas are clean and safe, adhering to company GMPs. Work safely and efficiently, complying with Federal and State regulations. Maintain accurate and timely records of work performed on work orders, maintenance calls, and preventative maintenance reports. Respond promptly to maintenance and line stoppage calls to resume production swiftly. Provide quick and efficient emergency repairs. Perform duties across all areas within the maintenance department. Offer technical assistance and information to the Chief Engineer as needed. Demonstrate initiative in identifying tasks that need attention and make recommendations to the Chief Engineer. Essential Skills Experience in preventive maintenance and maintenance technician roles. Strong troubleshooting skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Industrial electrical experience. Leadership skills with the ability to coach and direct people. Experience with inverter and PLC programming is preferred. Previous experience in the maintenance of production line equipment and facilities, particularly in a large commercial bakery, is preferred. Experience in similar equipment maintenance in industrial, manufacturing, or production line environments is preferred. Ability to work in a high-temperature environment supporting fast-paced machinery. Quick learning ability for new tasks and flexibility to perform various tasks as needed. Must be able to work any day, including holidays and weekends. Reliable transportation for meeting 24/7 production standards. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a commercial bakery with exposure to noise, dust, and food allergens. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hair nets, gloves, smocks, and glasses must be worn at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Lynnwood, WA.
