Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our engineering operations and drive excellence across our facilities. Manage the engineering/maintenance operations of the hotel to ensure safety and comfort of hotel guests and team members. Follow brand standards and federal, state, and/or local regulatory requirements. May have responsibility for the Loss Prevention function. Duties Lead and supervise engineering teams to maintain high standards of industrial maintenance, ensuring all equipment and systems operate reliably and efficiently. Oversee the management of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage installations. Develop and implement maintenance management strategies utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset histories, and preventive maintenance schedules. Manage facilities operations including HVAC systems, mechanical infrastructure, and overall building management to ensure optimal environmental conditions. Coordinate projects related to manufacturing upgrades, system installations, or facility improvements with a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery. Supervise maintenance activities by establishing procedures for troubleshooting electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and ensuring adherence to safety standards. Foster leadership within the team by providing training on schematics interpretation, industrial protocols, and safety practices; promote a culture of proactive problem-solving. Requirements Proven experience in management roles within industrial or manufacturing environments with supervisory responsibilities. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience including working with high voltage and low voltage systems. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and industrial automation processes. Hands-on experience with maintenance management tools such as CMMS software; ability to analyze maintenance data for continuous improvement. Knowledge of HVAC systems, facilities management practices, and building safety regulations. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining focus on quality outcomes. Excellent communication skills in English; capable of collaborating effectively across teams and departments. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters; strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting complex equipment issues.
