Full-Time / Part-Time The Cottages at Mill Creek is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Director to oversee all maintenance operations and ensure our community remains safe, compliant, and well-maintained. This position is responsible for managing the overall appearance, functionality, and preventative maintenance of the building and grounds while coordinating vendors, overseeing projects, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and takes pride in creating a safe, welcoming environment for our residents and staff. Primary Responsibilities Oversee all building maintenance and facility operations. Complete daily building and grounds inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and environmental concerns. Develop, maintain, and complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance schedules and checklists. Coordinate all vendor services including landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire systems, elevators, pest control, waste management, and other contracted services. Maintain strong working relationships with vendors and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Perform routine repairs and coordinate larger repairs with outside contractors. Ensure all life safety systems, emergency equipment, and building systems remain operational and compliant. Prepare the community for state surveys, fire inspections, life safety inspections, and other regulatory visits. Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and equipment documentation. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff. Manage department inventory, maintenance supplies, and operating budget. Monitor the overall appearance of the community, including landscaping, parking lots, sidewalks, fencing, lighting, and outdoor spaces. Participate in emergency preparedness planning and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed. Qualifications Previous experience managing maintenance or facilities operations preferred . Experience in assisted living, memory care, healthcare, or hospitality is preferred. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and vendor management experience. Basic computer skills for documentation, scheduling, and maintenance tracking. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance duties as needed. Why Join Our Team?
