Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician with a strong background in large machine tool repair (manual as well as CNC), electrical systems, and facility modernization. This role is critical to supporting our transition to a more efficient and digitally connected manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a licensed electrician with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading complex CNC equipment and facility infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain machine tools (e.g., horizontal/vertical mills, lathes, up to 5-axis centers). Lead or support modernization projects, including retrofitting legacy equipment and integrating smart technologies (sensors, PLCs, HMIs). Perform electrical maintenance on control panels, VFDs, and facility power distribution. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, electrical schematics, and equipment upgrades. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including NFPA 70E, OSHA, and LOTO procedures. Create/Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs. Train junior technicians on electrical safety, CNC diagnostics, and modernization best practices. Required Qualifications Experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on machine tools. Basic machining and fabrication skills (welding, lathe, and mill). Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Familiarity with shop modernization technologies. Must be proficient with Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and OneDrive. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field. Strong knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, or similar CNC control systems. Licensed Journeyman Electrician (Washington State or transferable equivalent). Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens preferred). In-depth knowledge of CMMS software. OSHA 30 certification. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Ability to safely perform work at elevated heights using aerial lifts (man basket, scissor lift) Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.

$29.46 - $35.48 per hour
