Job Description

HORIZONS YOUTH SERVICES IS LOOKING FOR A MAINTENANCE MANAGER AT THE MILWAUKEE JOB CORPS CENTER!
Job Summary:
Manages the center maintenance functions to ensure center buildings, grounds, roads, sidewalks, and equipment are clean, well maintained, and free of hazards, facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained in operating condition, and facilities provide a safe and attractive living and learning environment for students and staff.
Duties:
Conducts staff interviews, coaching's, trainings, evaluations, departmental meetings, and ensures all documentation is submitted as required. Implements a maintenance program that includes written preventive maintenance procedures, establishes 24/7 maintenance availability schedule ensuring coverage for handling emergency maintenance problems, including weekends and after-hours. Implements and manages maintenance tracking system that documents scheduled maintenance, work orders, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) deficiencies, and the amount of time taken to complete work. Collaborates with finance regarding the operating budget to include funds needed for capital improvement projects while remaining in compliance with the budget. Follows all guidelines when contract approval for construction or rehabilitation is given with close monitoring to ensure completion deadlines are met in a cost-effective manner. Coordinates with the state or local jurisdiction of authority to obtain all required construction permits and preoccupancy inspections if applicable. Participates in the facility survey process that includes Long-range planning, and implementation of measures to meet Federal mandates such as resource conservation, and green initiatives. Serves as the Center Sustainability Chair to develop and implement sustainable practices wherever feasible to promote energy and water conservation and reduce overall center operations costs. Submits Quarterly Waste Reports, updates center sustainability measures, and performs other duties as assigned within the individual's scope and capabilities.
Qualifications:

Experience:
Three years of maintenance experience required.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid State Drivers' License.
