This role is responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, improving facility performance, managing maintenance personnel, and driving continuous improvement projects. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with hands-on technical expertise to ensure equipment, facilities, and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and supervise maintenance personnel across facility and equipment maintenance activities. Oversee installation, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. Develop and manage predictive and preventive maintenance programs to improve reliability and reduce downtime. Coordinate facility repairs including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment performance, productivity, and operational efficiency. Manage engineering-related projects involving equipment upgrades, facility improvements, layouts, and capital expenditures. Plan, budget, and execute capital improvement projects, including vendor selection and contractor management. Monitor equipment calibration schedules and ensure compliance with maintenance standards. Inspect facilities, grounds, and infrastructure to identify maintenance needs and improvement opportunities. Purchase and manage maintenance supplies, replacement parts, and repair materials. Partner with leadership and production teams to address equipment concerns and operational priorities. Maintain maintenance records, inspection documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements. Promote and enforce workplace safety programs and safe operating procedures. Establish and maintain work practices that support safe equipment operation and material handling. Train, coach, and evaluate maintenance employees while identifying ongoing development needs. Conduct performance reviews and provide recommendations regarding employee growth and compensation. Manage staffing schedules, overtime assignments, and time-off requests to support operational requirements. Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure projects are completed effectively and on schedule. Perform additional duties as needed to support business operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience leading maintenance operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies. Experience managing facility systems, machinery, equipment installations, and repairs. Understanding of manufacturing engineering principles and continuous improvement practices. Ability to manage capital projects, budgets, vendors, and contractors. Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and facility maintenance systems. Familiarity with equipment calibration processes and maintenance documentation. Working knowledge of OSHA, environmental, and workplace safety regulations. Strong leadership, employee development, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Proficiency with maintenance planning, scheduling, and recordkeeping systems.
