  • We are currently seeking an experienced, dedicated, and proactive Permanent Maintenance Supervisor for our second shift operations.
This dynamic role is a key player in our manufacturing industry, responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure maximum operational potential is realized for all machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, preventative maintenance, machine operations, and wiring, with a keen eye for detail, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and coordinate the workers who maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, ventilation and other building systems. 2. Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure production efficiency and safety. 3. Evaluate problematic systems or facilities and determine what installation or repair services need to be performed. 4. Perform initial and ongoing inspections of the facility's physical condition to assess needs and to ensure compliance with safety standards. 5. Maintain inventory controls for cost-effective operations. 6. Supervise, evaluate, and train maintenance team members to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. 7. Coordinate with other supervisors and staff to ascertain and schedule maintenance or repair work. 8. Conduct regular meetings with the team to share updates, discuss issues, and devise solutions. 9. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure good, reliable sources of supply and information. 10. Ensure all reporting functions are completed on time and contain accurate information.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role within the manufacturing industry. 2. Proven experience in welding, preventative maintenance, machine operations, and wiring. 3. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred. 4. Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc. 5. Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.) 6. Exceptional leadership and management skills with a focus on securing strategic results. 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels in the organization. 8. Ability to read and understand complex electrical and mechanical systems, blueprints, and technical drawings. 9. Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail. 10. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines. 11. Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations. 12. Certification in a trade (electrician, carpenter etc.) or relevant certification (such as Certified Maintenance Manager) will be an advantage.
