https://wkf.ms/4ox5JeZ About the Role VEPO Metering is hiring Travel Utility Meter Technicians for nationwide projects involving residential meter upgrades.

This position includes:

Indoor residential meter replacements (more common in northern regions) Outdoor meter replacements, meter pits, and box work (more common in southern regions) Daily route-based work using a tablet for job tracking Technicians are expected to work independently, maintain production, and represent the company professionally in residential environments. What You'll Do Replace residential water, gas, & electric meters based on project requirements Perform indoor and/or outdoor installations depending on project location Install radios/endpoints and perform basic wiring connections Conduct leak checks and basic troubleshooting Complete daily routes and document work using a mobile device Communicate issues with supervisors and follow all safety procedures Work Environment This position varies by project: Northern Projects (Indoor Work) Work inside residential homes Appointment-based schedule (strict timing required) Customer interaction is frequent Southern Projects (Outdoor Work) Work outdoors in all weather conditions Meter pits, digging, physical labor required Route-based, production-focused work Requirements Maintain valid driver's license Maintain valid vehicle insurance Maintain reliable personal vehicle Willingness to travel nationwide Ability to work independently and manage a route Comfortable working indoors and outdoors Ability to meet production expectations after training Preferred Experience (Not Required) Meter installation (water, gas, or electric) Plumbing, construction, electrical, or utility work Experience working in residential environments Field service or route-based work Pay & Structure Weekly pay by direct deposit Pay structure may vary by project Some projects are piece-rate (performance-based) Some projects may be prevailing wage (hourly) Higher earnings are achievable based on production and consistency What We Offer Paid training Company-paid housing while assigned to active projects Structured routes and clear expectations Opportunity for advancement (Lead Tech / Supervisor/Manager) Military & Veterans Encouraged to Apply We strongly support Veterans through our VALOR Program , offering: Structured onboarding Mentorship Career growth opportunities Equal Employment Opportunity VEPO Metering, LLC and affiliated companies are equal opportunity employers.
