Contract Meter Reader

• Metermark LLC is currently searching for a Contract Meter Reader to add to the team.

This position is for responsible self-managed individuals with good work ethic who are looking to earn above average income for focused work. $20+ per hour potential if taken seriously. This person must be reliable, honest, self-managed and provide a reliable vehicle (preferrably SUV or truck for insurance reasons). Accounts are located in Eastern North Carolina - Carteret, Craven, Pamlico and Pender counties. Available routes exists in one or more of these counties. A Contract Meter Reader accurately reads and records water meters for billing purposes with hand held meter reading devices on designated routes. Checks meters and reports inoperable, damaged or missing meter boxes. Cleans meter boxes and surrounding areas. Routes are assigned on a monthly basis and must be completed within a set time-frame. Reads MUST be accurate and complete - NO

ESTIMATES.

Duties performed outdoors, with exposure to the elements. Experience preferred but not required. Stooping, kneeling and continuous walking required. Computer skills helpful but not required. Each route is contracted and read around the same days each month.

• Current opening is 6-9 days per month based on reader ability.
• Normal day consists of 200-300 meters per day.
• Current opening contains routes running between the 15th and 30th of the month.
• Possibility for additional routes as they become available when business needs dictate.
• Can not be done working only half-days, evenings and weekends.
• Must provide own transportation, clean background check, valid drivers license and insurance.
