Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Shift start and end times may vary and may include weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings and special events. Revenue Collection and Accountability Collect revenue from single and multi-space meters, gated facilities, and pay stations. Verify collections through meter management and Parking Access and Revenue Control Systems (PARCS) software; provide secure handling and transport of all monetary assets. Detect, report, and document possible fraud, loss, or theft. Inspect meters and pay stations for operational, vandalism, or tampering issues. Deliver, track, and collect money bags from garages and drop safes. Maintain accurate inventory and reconciliation logs. Equipment Maintenance and Technical Support Respond to malfunctioning or vandalized equipment and coordinate for timely repair. Install, service, and maintain parking meters, pay stations, gates, and associated infrastructure. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues. Replace locks, batteries, card readers, sensors, and circuit components as needed. Perform preventive maintenance procedures on meter and pay station equipment, cash bags, locks, carts and canisters. Recordkeeping, Communication, and Customer Support Maintain electronic and written records for collections, repairs. Prepare and submit accurate reports, incident logs, and work orders. Respond to inquiries courteously and professionally; assist patrons experiencing equipment or payment issues. Assist with helpline coverage when needed. Snow and Seasonal Operations Remove snow and ice from meter zones, garages, sidewalks, and access points using shovels, plows, and snow blowers. Assist in garage snow chute clearing. Assist with spring sand cleanup (garages and lots) Perform landscape maintenance (mowing, weeding, etc.) Miscellneaous Duties Support field projects, enforcement efforts, and special events as needed. Assist with safety audits and facility inspections. Maintain and repair parking lots, asphalt, curbs and islands. Perform other duties as assigned. One (1) year experience in the mechanical, electrical, and electronic operations of parking systems. -OR- Two (2) years of experience applying the following: Varied public works or field based maintenance activities, including mechanical, electrical, and facility-related repair methods and materials. Cash handling, reconciliation, and recordkeeping procedures.Familiarity with:
Use of basic hand and power tools. Computer software applicable to the duties of the position, such as Microsoft Office including Outlook. Other combinations of training and/or experience which can be demonstrated to result in the possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position will also be considered. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as assigned.Physical Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in all weather and traffic conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs; push or maneuver coin carts up to 200 lbs.
