Job Description

About the Role As an Industrial Equipment Technician, you will serve as a critical member of our operations team, ensuring the reliability and peak performance of our production machinery. You will leverage your expertise in electrical systems, PLCs, and mechanical repair to minimize downtime and drive operational efficiency across the facility. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques on PLCs, VFDs, and industrial motor controls. Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and ensure safety compliance. Perform precision repairs on power transmission components, including bearings, shafts, belts, and gearboxes. Conduct structural repairs and fabrication tasks using welding and pipe-fitting skills to maintain facility infrastructure. Support production teams by assisting with equipment setup, cleaning, and providing technical training on machine operation. Document all maintenance activities and parts usage accurately within our digital tracking systems. Maintain and service powered industrial trucks and forklifts to ensure safe material handling operations. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or a related technical field. Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and blueprints. Strong technical aptitude with AC/DC circuits, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to lift up to 65 pounds and work in varied physical environments including heights and tight spaces. Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office suite and internet-based research for parts sourcing. Preferred Skills Formal certification in welding or fabrication techniques. Prior experience with industrial automation and control systems. Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
