- Full-time Position Summary A growing commercial laundry operation is seeking an experienced Mechanic II to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial laundry equipment.
This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to diagnose complex issues, and experience working with high‑volume laundry machinery. Welding and electrical experience are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repair Diagnose and repair commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, extractors, condensers, pumps, blowers, and presses. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance such as cleaning, oiling, adjusting, and testing equipment. Replace or repair faulty components including bearings, motors, micro switches, valves, pipe sections, fittings, and aprons. Conduct basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical repairs. Respond to service requests, identify malfunctions, and work from plans, sketches, or technical drawings. Utilize electrical testing tools and diagnostic/programming equipment to troubleshoot and repair machinery. Operational Duties Operate and make minor adjustments to commercial laundry equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all safety rules, regulations, and linen‑control procedures. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, documenting all service activities, time, and materials used. Supervisory & Reporting (as needed) Provide instruction, training, or task assignments to lower‑level staff or helpers. Report work progress, maintain records, and request materials, supplies, or replacement parts. Qualifications Experience repairing and maintaining commercial laundry equipment required. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics. Experience with electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment. Welding and electrical experience highly preferred. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. High school diploma or technical certification preferred. Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks as required in a warehouse/industrial setting.
