Job Title:

Helper / Production Worker Job Description This entry-level Helper / Production Worker role supports skilled trades professionals working on large hovercraft vessels. You assist mechanics, welders, and fitters with a variety of tasks, gaining hands-on experience with tools and equipment in a dynamic industrial setting. This position offers a strong pathway to grow into skilled trades such as mechanic, welder, or electrician. Responsibilities Assist mechanics, welders, and fitters with daily tasks on large hovercraft boats. Handle, organize, and prepare hand and power tools for use by skilled trades personnel. Support basic facilities and maintenance tasks as directed. Help with simple electrical and plumbing-related tasks under supervision. Follow instructions from experienced tradespeople to complete production and repair work safely and efficiently. Lift, move, and position materials and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in and around the hangar. Use appropriate safety practices and follow all site and tool safety procedures. Work frequent overtime on Fridays and Saturdays as part of the regular schedule. Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly about task status and any issues observed. Monday - Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm, Friday and Saturday overtimes from 6:00am to 2:30pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
