Welder - Experienced Structural & Industrial - W-2 Position

Experienced Structural & Industrial Welder - W-2 Position Powell Welding is seeking an experienced structural and industrial welder to join our growing team for commercial, industrial, and mining projects. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work in both shop and field environments. This is NOT a pipeline welding position. We are looking for welders with experience in structural steel, industrial fabrication, steel erection support, and field installation work. This is a W-2 employee position using company equipment — not a 1099 contractor or rig welder position. Responsibilities Perform FCAW, MIG, and stick welding on structural steel and industrial projects Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and field layouts Fabricate and fit structural and miscellaneous steel components Assist with field installation and erection activities Safely operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, torches, plasma cutters, forklifts, and other shop equipment Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Work independently while also contributing effectively within a crew environment Follow OSHA safety requirements and Powell Welding safety standards Produce clean, quality welds that meet project specifications and customer expectations Qualifications Proven experience in structural and/or industrial welding Strong fitting and fabrication skills Ability to read blueprints and perform layout work Experience working in industrial or commercial construction environments Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to travel and work varying schedules depending on project demands Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality Welding certifications required OSHA, forklift, rigging, or aerial lift certifications are a plus Position Details Full-time W-2 position Company equipment provided No personal welding rig required No personal general liability or workers' compensation policy required Competitive pay based on experience and skill level Opportunities for advancement as expectations and performance are consistently met About Powell Welding Powell Welding provides steel fabrication, structural steel erection, industrial welding, and custom metal fabrication services across commercial, industrial, mining, municipal, and infrastructure projects. Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
