Job Description

Shift Availability:
1st shift: 7:00AM - 3:00PM Role Overview We are seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Junior Injection Molding Tooling Technician. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is interested in building a long-term career in manufacturing and tooling. The primary focus will be supporting the upkeep of production molds to ensure they remain clean, properly lubricated, and production-ready.
Core Responsibilities Tool Cleaning:
Perform detailed manual cleaning of injection molding tools to remove material residue, buildup, and contaminants.
Lubrication & Maintenance:
Apply grease and lubricants to moving mold components such as pins, slides, and bushings according to established maintenance procedures.
Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance tasks to help ensure tooling reliability and production readiness.
Tool Handling:
Safely transport, position, and organize tooling within the maintenance and production areas using appropriate shop equipment and safe handling practices.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance activities, inspections, and service tasks.
Workplace Safety:
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic hand tools such as wrenches, Allen keys, ratchets, and screwdrivers. High attention to detail and commitment to performing quality work. Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and safety procedures consistently. Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in injection molding and tooling operations. Positive attitude and desire to grow within a manufacturing environment Career Development Opportunities This position is designed as a pathway into more advanced tooling and process-related roles. As experience and proficiency are gained, additional training and responsibilities may include:
Mold Installation & Removal:
Learning to safely set and pull molds from injection molding presses.
Insert Changeovers:
Replacing modular tooling components to support different product configurations and production requirements.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
