Flexible Location:
Indianapolis, IN (west side) As an Industrial Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for performing repairs and installations of pumps, pipes, storage and process tanks, forklifts, and other equipment related to the waste treatment processes and material handling across the facility. Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times Performs plant maintenance including general repair and replacement of pumps, valves, piping and hoses as needed, including basic pipefitting and pipe threading Lubricates pumps, mixers, motors and other equipment, replacing grease fittings and oilers if needed Diagnoses, repairs, rebuilds or replaces process pumps (centrifugal, air diaphragm, progressive cavity, rotary lobe, etc.) Performs coating repairs as needed Operates forklift to load and unload parts and equipment Maintains and refills filter urns, replaces insulation and stream tracing on pumps and lines as needed Maintains responsibility for keeping operating areas, walls, pipes, and floors in a clean and safe condition Performs standard mechanical preventative maintenance for the facility Identifies inventory needs and reports those to supervisor for appropriate ordering . Utilizes OSHA and Company procedures/guidelines for: lockout/tagout, confined space entry, hot work, pipeline breaking and other associated procedures Serves as an active member of the Plant Emergency Response Team (PERT); ensures mechanical shutdown in case of an emergency Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed including respirator, gloves, boots, and suit when working in areas with chemicals Maintains the ability to provide coverage on weekends on a rotating schedule Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization Education High-school diploma or equivalent (required) Experience 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience (required)
  • OR•In lieu of experience, technical certifications or degrees may be considered Previous experience with pump rebuilding and pipefitting (preferred) #LI-CD1 #EEM
