  • Full-time About Us CMT is a rapidly growing industrial construction and engineering company serving clients across North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Texas, and other states.
Our projects include manufacturing facilities, industrial plants, process equipment installations, structural steel construction, and facility expansions. We are seeking skilled Welders to join our team and support industrial construction and equipment installation projects throughout the United States. Position Summary The Welder will perform structural, pipe, and miscellaneous welding activities associated with industrial construction, equipment installation, and facility expansion projects. Candidates must be safety-focused, dependable, and capable of working in a fast-paced construction environment. Essential Responsibilities Perform welding on structural steel, equipment supports, platforms, stairs, handrails, and miscellaneous metals. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols. Perform fabrication and field welding activities. Assist with equipment installation and industrial construction activities. Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards. Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition. Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies. Travel to project sites as required. Work on site in Indiana as the current project. Qualifications Required Minimum 3 years of welding experience. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Ability to work outdoors and in industrial environments. Ability to travel for projects and work on site. AWS or NCCER certified Welder. Preferred Experience with industrial or manufacturing facility projects. Experience with MIG, TIG, and pipe welding. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
