Maintenance Intern

The intern will assist with daily operations while proactively acquiring essential skills, and gain practical experience in maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and equipment handling to advance within industrial maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Carries out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority. Prioritizes the well-being of colleagues and actively contributes to the safety program by collaborating, sharing ideas, and voicing concerns. Adheres to training guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards. Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to safely and efficiently transport materials as required. Capable of working independently or as a team with minimum supervision.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for creating a collaborative, safe and hazard free environment that is driven by employee involvement. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to leading departmental continuous improvement projects, supporting and executing all safety and health policies and programs, employee training and incident investigations.
