Maintenance Trainee

Capps Manufacturing, Inc. is in need of a Maintenance Trainee to provide facility support including but not limited to repairing a wide variety of equipment and machinery used in the aerospace sector. This role is a learning opportunity in the field of industrial maintenance. Position Summary Repairs, maintains, replaces, installs and tests a variety of equipment that includes all of the following systems: electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment, mechanical systems, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, facility maintenance and welding. Performs complex problem identification and troubleshooting assignments. Analyzes equipment failures, determines cause and makes necessary adjustments. Operates electrical hand tools and voltage or ampere measuring devices. Working knowledge of techniques, materials, tools and equipment used in this manufacturing environment. Must be able to complete job duties at an acceptable level with minimal supervision. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Other duties as required Job Requirements Ability to organize work and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read, Write, speak and communicate in the English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read and interpret documents such as blue prints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work in a noisy, dusty, industrial/manufacturing environment, and exposed to non-toxic fumes, gases, chemicals, grease and oils Ability to work with machinery and moving parts Ability to operate trucks and motor vehicles Ability to work with moving vehicles, ladders, and scaffolding Ability to work at heights, and in confined spaces Ability to properly lift/carry/push/pull/manipulate/transport up to 25 lbs. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., frequently lift up to 40 lbs., and consistently lift up to 25 lbs Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment Ability to work in repetitive motions and pressure involving fingers, hands, and wrists The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing or walking over hard concrete surface Exposure to recurring bending, crouching, stooping, kneeling, sitting, climbing, stretching, or similar activities Ability to reach at high levels Must have the physical strength and ability to frequently work more than 40 hours weekly Capps Manufacturing offer competitive wages and a full benefits package.
