Summary description : The general mechanic is responsible for supporting the paper mill's production operations by performing a variety of manual maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment cleanliness, assisting machine operators, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.
Task/responsibilities:
Assist in the overall maintenance of mill machinery and equipment under supervision. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including sweeping, shoveling, and waste removal. Monitor maintenance processes and report any irregularities or equipment malfunctions. Perform routine checks and mechanical maintenance tasks as directed. Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Support other team members and departments as needed to meet production goals. initiatives.
