We are currently hiring a Millwright Foreman to oversee the crew onsite for projects. This position is ideal for individuals with hands-on mechanical experience who are skilled in maintaining and installing industrial equipment and have at least 2 years of running of crew.
Job Responsibilities:
Ability to set equipment such as, pumps, motors, generators, conveyors, compressors & process equipment including: layout for anchor bolts, level (including shim as required), align motors to couplings, bearings, etc. Be able to provide direction and coordinate daily project activities onsite. You will be responsible for rigging, lifting, installation and/or removal of rotating machinery. Interpret and work from plan view and layout drawings Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed Understand and work with mechanical structural components Perform preventive maintenance on a wide range of equipment Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with job specifications
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience as a millwright, mechanic, or in a similar construction/industrial role Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout drawings, and technical documents Familiar with dial indicators, 98 levels, torpedo levels, and calipers Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Willingness to work in industrial environments and adhere to safety protocols
Requirements:
Flexibility to travel between projects on a daily and/or weekly basis. Flexibility to work in both clean (food-grade) and dirty (recycling facilities) environments. Willing to work at least 40 hours per week (Mon - Thu on a 4-10's schedule), with the flexibility to work overtime as required. Some night shift may be required. Flexibility to travel between DC, Baltimore and Aberdeen, MD.
