Job Description

This position will play a key role in preparing our new fabrication plant in Oxford, ME, scheduled to open in early 2027. Prior to the plant opening, the Maintenance Millwright's time will be split between locations based on production needs, equipment installation, and plant readiness. Once the Oxford facility is operational, this role is expected to be based primarily in Oxford.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment essential to the location's operations. This role ensures all equipment is in top operating condition by following preventive maintenance measures and correcting problems as they arise. The ideal candidate will have a safety-conscious mindset and strong mechanical aptitude.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures. Take personal responsibility for their own safety and those working around them. Participate in safety huddles, stretch huddles, and near miss program. Wear required PPE. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Install, assemble, and disassemble machinery and equipment according to blueprints and technical specifications. Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure optimal functionality. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues. Repair or replace parts using hand and power tools. Align and calibrate machinery and scanners to meet operational requirements. Weld and fabricate machine components as needed. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. Stay updated with advancements in industrial technology and machinery. Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot equipment-related challenges and improve processes. Other duties may be assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Excellent mechanical skills and hands-on troubleshooting ability Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Familiarity with welding, rigging, and machine alignment Strong attention to detail
DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical environment preferred.
REPETITIVE PHYSICAL DEMANDS
