Job Description
Millwright - Steel Fabrication We are seeking an experienced Millwright with at least 2 years of industrial maintenance, mechanical installation, or millwright experience to join our growing steel fabrication team. The Millwright will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and relocating heavy industrial machinery and equipment used throughout our fabrication facility. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety. Responsibilities Install, assemble, align, and dismantle industrial machinery and equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on fabrication equipment, conveyors, overhead cranes, welding equipment, and other production machinery. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and work orders. Inspect machinery and identify potential mechanical issues before failures occur. Replace bearings, motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, shafts, and other mechanical components. Assist with equipment upgrades, plant expansions, and machinery relocations. Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, rigging equipment, and overhead cranes safely. Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Collaborate with maintenance, production, and management teams to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Millwright, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technician, or related experience. Experience working in a steel fabrication, manufacturing, industrial, or heavy equipment environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, power transmission components, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Experience with rigging, equipment alignment, and machinery installation. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and maintenance equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in industrial environments for extended periods. Comfortable working at heights and in varying plant conditions. Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
