Millwright / Industrial Mechanic / Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary Delta Grain is looking to hire a millwright to our Facility Team. This person is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment in a grain elevator facility. This hands-on role ensures safe, efficient operation of grain handling systems, minimizes downtime during harvest seasons, and supports overall plant reliability in a dusty, high-volume agricultural environment. About Us Delta Grain Company owns and operates two grain elevators in the Mississippi Delta with locations at Sidon and Minter City. We are located adjacent to a CN rail line that gives us the ability to load outbound rail cars as well as accept grain via inbound rail. Key Responsibilities Assemble, align, and level machinery such as bucket elevators (legs), drag conveyors, belt conveyors, augers, distributors, spouting, grain dryers, bins/tanks, and screening equipment. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on grain handling systems, including lubrication, belt replacement, bearing changes, and gear box repairs. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures on elevators, conveyors, fans, motors, pumps, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Weld, fabricate, and modify metal parts (e.g., hoppers, gates, elbows, catwalks, platforms, and structural supports) using MIG/TIG welding, cutting torches, and shop tools. Rig and move heavy equipment safely using cranes, forklifts, manlifts, and rigging gear. Assist with grain quality maintenance tasks indirectly related to equipment (e.g., ensuring dryers and cleaners function properly). Conduct inspections and monitoring of stored grain equipment to prevent issues like overheating, blockages, or structural failures. Adhere to strict safety protocols, including confined space entry, lockout/tagout (LOTO), fall protection, grain dust explosion prevention (NFPA standards), and PPE usage. Respond to emergency breakdowns, often during peak harvest seasons (fall for soybeans/corn in the Delta). Maintain accurate records of maintenance, parts inventory, and work orders.
