Job description Millwright/Mechanic Glacier Stone Supply is accepting applications for Maintenance Mechanical Millwright team members for manufacturing facility. We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Servicing mobile equipment (40% of the time, mostly indoors): Ensures compliance with company preventative maintenance practices/service schedules to ensure the operating efficiency of the equipment fleet(s). Planned maintenance typically includes various hour-based services, mid-life repairs, overhauls, and major rebuilds. Performs service tasks which can include changing oil(s), adding fuel, steam cleaning vehicles and parts, changing parts and components such as wiper blades and filters. Examines parts for damage or excessive wear. Cleans, lubricates, and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles. Assists in the complete overhaul and rebuilding of major components such as engines, transmissions, radiators, torque converters, pump drives, final drives, differentials, brakes, suspensions, cylinders, and hydraulic systems. Operates and inspects machines or heavy equipment in order to troubleshoot defects. Diagnoses faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices. Repairs and replaces damaged or worn parts. Includes seals and shaft sealing rings, horns, wiring harnesses, starting switches, ignition distributors, sensors, fuel and water pumps; adjust voltage and current control units, engine idle, brakes, transmission linkages, battery cables, and engine components. Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment. Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications. Modification of mobile equipment (5% of the time) Fabricates and installs safety devices such as guarding, handrails, and catwalks. Achieves/maintains both personal and company compliance with HSEQ standards, policies, and procedures (e.g. isolation of equipment). Follow and adhere to safety lockout procedures and strictly adhere to plant safety rules as well as follow excellent housekeeping practices to help maintain a clean work environment. Must be able to work independently as well as in a group. Must be flexible to work both day and swing shifts to accommodate plant needs.
Qualifications Qualification Requirements:
: Must have standard mechanic/millwright tools : Must be proficient in the use of hand and power tools : Experienced in pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems : Excellent skills in root cause analysis : Skilled in all aspects of mechanical maintenance : Resume detailing education and work history : Prefer three (3) years of maintenance work experience and/or educational history : Good communication skills : Must be team oriented : Willingness to work any shift, including weekends and holidays : Willingness and ability to wear all required personal protective equipment : Physical ability to work in extreme heat and cold : Physical ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, and bending : Willingness and ability to learn new jobs and skills
Compensation:
