Description Summary:
Seeking a working foreman to lead a rigging and machinery-moving crew in our Durham, NC location. You'll be on job sites every day - running the crew, loading, lifting, moving, and setting heavy equipment. Our work is primarily in the local and regional area - not the type of long-term, out-of-state travel done by large contractors. You'll travel to different customer sites as needed, mostly doing day-work and may include overnight travel stay(s) to the site.
Responsibilities:
Lead a crew on machinery-moving, rigging, and installation jobs Work hands-on with forklifts, cranes, skates, jacks, and rigging gear Plan lifts, give direction, and make sure work is done safely Load, move, set, and align machines and equipment Read and follow lift plans, drawings, and layouts Fill out basic job paperwork and talk with customers as needed Travel to different job sites when required
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
1-3 years rigging, machinery moving, or machinery installation experience 2+ years leading a crew or working as a foreman in rigging, machinery moving or machinery installation is required Able to read simple drawings and lift plans Willing to travel, work overtime, and weekends when needed Requires successful background, MVR and drug screening Must currently hold a valid driver's license
