  • Per diem available 5 days/week Position Summary We are currently hiring experienced Mechanical Foremen for long-term work on water and wastewater treatment facility projects.
This role focuses on the installation, alignment, assembly, and startup support of pumps, clarifiers, gates, rotating equipment, and other heavy mechanical systems. The ideal candidate has strong leadership abilities and extensive hands-on experience with heavy equipment installation, rigging, precision alignment, mechanical assemblies, and commissioning support in industrial or wastewater environments Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise mechanical installation crews on active construction projects
  • Coordinate installation of:
  • Pumps
  • Clarifiers
  • Slide gates and sluice gates
  • Valves and actuators
  • Conveyance systems
  • Mechanical process equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, equipment submittals, installation manuals, and specifications
  • Coordinate unloading, rigging, hoisting, and setting of heavy mechanical equipment
  • Verify equipment elevations, anchor bolt placement, alignment tolerances, and grout installation
  • Perform precision alignment of pumps, motors, shafts, and rotating equipment
  • Coordinate with piping, electrical, instrumentation, and structural trades
  • Assist with startup, commissioning, hydrostatic testing, and punch list completion
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, JHAs, and inspections
  • Maintain labor productivity and complete daily reports
  • Communicate with Superintendents, Project Managers, Engineers, inspectors, vendors, and owners
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of mechanical equipment installation experience with leadership responsibility
  • Extensive experience installing pumps, clarifiers, gates, and rotating equipment
  • Strong experience in water/wastewater treatment plant construction preferred
  • Previous experience supervising self-perform mechanical crews required
  • Millwright, pipefitter, or mechanical trade background preferred
  • Strong blueprint and specification reading skills
  • Experience with rigging, crane coordination, alignment, and equipment setting
  • OSHA 10 required
  • OSHA 30 preferred
  • Rigging/signaling, confined space, forklift, and aerial lift certifications are a plus
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record required Required PPE

  • Safety glasses with side shields
  • High visibility vest or shirt
  • Steel toe or composite toe boots
  • Work gloves Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, climb, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods
