Packaging Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Packaging Mechanic who is willing to learn and advance in maintaining and repairing packaging equipment. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing production-related systems such as bottling, blistering, bundling, and more. You will be responsible for conducting maintenance and repairs on equipment including Cartoners, Wrappers, Tube Fillers, Case Packers, Palletizers, and more. Responsibilities Repair packaging equipment as needed. Perform regular and preventive maintenance of packaging equipment to eliminate unscheduled downtime. Conduct efficient and timely changeovers for packaging lines. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with c GMP's, housekeeping, safety practices, and environmental regulations. Participate in team processes and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees. Initiate purchase of required tools, parts, and materials while maintaining accountability for tools/parts issued. Upgrade skills and knowledge as equipment and technology develop. Reflect personal commitment to quality craftsmanship and job ownership in all work. Notify Supervisor of mechanical breakdowns that require twenty minutes or more to repair. Report health/safety hazards to immediate supervisor or EHS Department and make appropriate repairs. Diagnose, rebuild, modify, and repair packaging equipment. Make recommendations for equipment upgrades and modifications. Essential Skills Ability to troubleshoot and repair production machinery. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Mechanical and aptitude Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Clifton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
